The Cloud Based Server Manager (CBSM) now has an internal Global Ban List, which server operators can 'opt-in' to.
When enabled, you server will automatically refuse and ban any players from your server, which are on the global ban list.
If a player is banned, through this system, your server will only store the ban for a duration of 24 hours..
It will be re-applied on their next visit to your server, if they are still on the Global Ban List.
When enabled, the Global Ban List will announce the number of bans the player has, from other servers.
You can manage within the Behaviour and Anti-Cheats configuration page.
This functionality requires that the 'Persistent Server Link' option is sent to active.
How do I add a player to the CBSM Global Ban List?
Through the use of an algorithm fuelled using already available data, it is possible to verify the detailed ban reasons provided by moderators when they ban a player through the CBSM.
Although not required, it's this reason that providing a detailed ban reason and ban category becomes valuable in preserving the enjoyability of the game for many players, across many servers.
When reviewing eligible internal server bans to be pushed to the Global Ban List, the referring server's identity is purposely never known, or taken into consideration.
